PM launches support of farmers, closed airports, LNG equipment

MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russian government has allowed the farmers to take 15-year loans at 5%, allocated 2.5 billion rubles to compensate operational costs of closed airports and disbursed 1 billion rubles for R&D for production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) equipment, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday.

Farmers will be able to take the loans on production and processing of agricultural raw material, and purchases of refrigerator containers to carry perishable products for long distances.

The LNG program targets four projects to be launched in 2022.

"It is important not only to look for new buyers, but also to develop our own production of crucial equipment," the official said.
